ETSO to celebrate Small-town America at Collegedale Freedom Celebration

The East Tennessee Symphony Orchestra (ETSO) announces its performance at the annual Collegedale Freedom Celebration on Monday, July 3, at The Commons (4950 Swinyar Dr. in Collegedale). This family-friendly event is free and open to the public. Concert begins at 7 p.m., and ends with a “Firework Finale”.

For more than 18 years, the Collegedale-based nonprofit organization has enriched the Tennessee Valley and greater Chattanooga area through music. By tradition, ETSO has performed in the region’s marquee Independence Day event, celebrating patriotism and community through symphonic performances led by its all-volunteer orchestra.

“It is an honor to participate once again in the annual Independence Day event,” says ETSO Executive Director Mathew Miller. “This family-friendly event is always a great time to celebrate our freedoms in a safe and welcoming environment, making it an annual tradition for many residents and their families. This is Small Town America at its finest.”

The ETSO gives thanks to the Collegedale Foundation, the City of Collegedale and The Commons for allowing the orchestra to take the stage for nearly two decades.
